Adopt A Foster - West Valley Humane Society

This adoption application is intended for adopters who are adopting a pet from an animal currently in a foster home. These applications will be processed by our foster coordinator to help assist animals in going directly from a foster home into their new homes. If you have not met with this animal yet, we will arrange a time for the foster parent and adoption applicant to meet at the shelter at the same time to facilitate a meet and greet.

I understand that the adoption process is completed in a first come, first serve basis for all eligible adopters.
I understand that masks are required to be worn inside of the shelter to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and agree to come with a mask to my adoption appointment.
I understand that West Valley Humane Society is looking in the best interest of the animal when meeting with potential adopters. There may be times where we deny an adoption that does not appear to be a good fit.
I understand that staff is available to facilitate a staff-assisted meet and greet between personal pets and adoptable pets to ensure a good fit. I also agree that if a staff assisted meet and greet is required that I will bring my pet to the shelter for that meeting.
I understand that all animals are vaccinated upon intake to prevent the spread and transmission of common virus' and diseases. I also understand that regardless of vaccinations, there is always risk of a pet catching a common illness like kennel cough. I understand that the shelter is not responsible or liable for the accidental transmission of common animal illnesses and a private veterinary clinic must be contacted for treatment if an issue arises.
I understand that the shelter often has limited behavioral information on adoptable pets. The shelter will provide as much behavioral information as possible to ensure a good fit.
I understand that meeting an unknown animal for adoption has potential risk. I hereby expressly and specifically assume the risk of injury or harm during a scheduled meet and greet and release West Valley Humane Society from all liability of injury, illness, or property damage/loss resulting from this meeting.
