Please make sure to fill out the stray form prior to your arrival. You can schedule a time to come in with any stray dogs to drop off or you are welcome to show up at the shelter during regular business hours. When you arrive at the shelter you may be required to call a number (208-455-5920) to inform shelter staff that you have arrived with a stray. If you haven’t already, they will ask you to fill out the form below to start the stray turn-in process.

Due to the lack of kennel space and resources at the shelter, West Valley Humane Society only takes in animals from areas that are contracted with the shelter.

This includes areas that are in Canyon County (outside of city limits) and the following areas within city limits: Nampa, Caldwell, Middleton, Notus and Marsing.

If your city is not in contract with West Valley Humane Society and you are not sure what to do, reach out to us and we can provide some next steps: help@westvalleyhumanesociety.org.
By checking this box, you are signing up for the Finder's First Program. We will notify you if the animal is placed for adoption. You will have option for the first appointment if you meet adoption criteria and qualifications. We will send you an application that must be filled out in order to be notified.
