Food Pantry

The Pet Food Pantry is a wonderful service that West Valley Humane Society is able to provide when supplies are available. The food pantry is made available for folks who may need additional support for pet food in times of hardship and is not intended to be used as a primary source of food for owned pets. If a Canyon County community member is having difficulty affording pet food in a time of need, we are happy to provide that help.

By participating in the program you are agreeing to not add additional pets to your household or allowing your animals to breed.  All animals that participate in the program must be spayed or neutered within 3 months of joining the program.  If you need assistance with spaying and neutering your animals, please email us at help@westvalleyhumanesociety.org.

Food distribution guidelines are as follows (as supplies are available):

Cats: up to 8 pounds of food per month, or 4 cans of wet food per cat per month

Small breed dogs: up to 8 pounds of food per month, or 4 cans of wet food per dog per month

Medium breed dogs: up to 15 pounds of food per month, or 6 cans of wet food per dog per month

Large breed dogs:  up to 20 pounds of food per month

To get started, please fill out the form below. Once received, we will schedule an appointment for you to pick up the requested food.

By signing this, you are indicating that you understand that the food pantry is intended for use as a supplemental food source as needed in times of hardship. West Valley Humane Society is not a primary source to provide food for animals in your care and that pantry food is limited based on food available at the shelter.
