Something Amazing Is Happening At West Valley Humane Society! West Valley Humane Society is pleased to announce the launch of its:  ‘Reading for Rescue Program’.  What is ‘Reading for Rescue?’  ‘Reading for Rescue’ is an outreach of caring hands and hearts from our young community of children who are proactive with their unique style of giving their time and caring words to many of our Furry Friends. Reading for Rescue fosters kindness and empathy in young individuals, as well as personal responsibility for animals. As many of our Dogs and Kitty Cats are transitioning to a new home- these kids are doing the next best thing - by helping shy shelter dogs with socialization as they read to them! Place- time and Requirements: Currently ‘Reading for Rescue’ meet on every Monday 2-4 pm. An adult must be present with the child. Bring a small blanket/pillow and book the child would like to read out of. Age requirements is- school children ages. Would you or your children perhaps like to know more about this program and or become involved in it?  If so then you can email your request for more information to reading4rescue@westvalleyhumanesociety.org . Wendy and Becca who volunteer their time and oversee this program would be happy to respond to you and talk with you more about it. Please let us know if we can be of service.
