Pet of the Week Meet Bella! She is a 1 year old cattle dog mix! Bella arrived as an owner surrender due to not liking other pets in the household, but has not had reaction to other dogs while she has been here. Bella has been really depressed in the shelter. We have had volunteers take her on outings, tried different items in her kennel, ran through all of our enrichment activities, etc. It wasn't until we put her outside (with other dogs) that we saw Bella come to life! She loves to play! Bella may have some resource guarding issues (that we have not seen) or the other dog in her old home may have guarded valuable items. Regardless, this girl loves to play with other dogs! Training her will be fun and rewarding. She is really smart and it will help her bond quicker with her new family. Bella does seem housetrained and has PERFECT LEASH MANNERS! Bella prefers older, more respectful children. Micro chipped * Vaccinated * will be Spayed prior to going home. With all animals, we advise a supervised meet and greet at the shelter to make sure that current pets and potential adopted pets are compatible. We like to see our dogs adopted into safe homes that are a good fit for the family, the dog and with any other dogs or cats that may be in the home. We do meet and greets here at the shelter to make sure that all the dogs get along. Our adoption specialists are here to help facilitate this process. To better help us serve you, we ask that our visitors fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire. You can click on the following link to download one or fill out one here at the shelter when considering to adopt a new dog. Pre-Adoption link
